Description: "SOL Bootcamp" 100 students were selected to become cadets at Belmont Elementary School's SOL Boot Camp. This after-school camp allowed 3rd, 4th and 5th graders to work with their Drill Sergeant Teachers and sharpen their skills in preparation for the SOL tests. "Wartime Lessons" For Lake Ridge Middle School 6th graders, a unit on World War II extended far beyond a textbook. Social studies teachers developed unique classroom activities and arranged for a tour of the National Museum of the Marine Corp and a teaching trunk show to bring history to life and appeal to all different types of learners.
